Ashland 

Ashland is located in Grafton County and is the geographical center of New Hampshire, nestled within the Lakes Region and adjacent to the White Mountain National Forest. Ashland offers easy access to beautiful scenic views of Little Squam Lake, (The original “On Golden Pond”), in all seasons as well as outdoor recreational opportunities, dining, shopping and services.

Center Harbor 

Center Harbor gets its name from two sources: from its location, centered between Meredith and Moultonborough harbors, and also from the Senter family, who were owners of a large amount of property in the area. The town was a landing place for lake steamers and stagecoaches, making it a popular summer resort. Center Harbor was a favorite spot of John Greenleaf Whittier, and the home of Dudley Leavitt, author of the first Farmers' Almanac in 1797.[1] Center Harbor is the winter home of the paddle steamer MS Mount Washington, the largest boat on Lake Winnipesaukee.

 Holderness

Holderness was named in 1751 for Robert Darcy, fourth Earl of Holderness, ambassador to Venice and minister at The Hague under King George III. He opposed the king's policy toward the colonies, and became a friend of Governor Wentworth in efforts to promote friendly trade relations abroad. In 1761, the land was regranted to a group of New England families and named New Holderness. Grantees included Samuel Livermore, who wanted to create a pretentious estate similar to that of the English countryside. In 1816, residents voted to change the name back to Holderness.

Moultonborough

Moultonborough is home to the "Castle in the Clouds", an estate set in the Ossipee Mountains. Thomas Gustave Plant made a fortune manufacturing shoes, bought 6,300 acres (25 km2) and hired the Boston architectural firm of J. Williams Beal & Sons to design "Lucknow," a stone mansion built between 1913 and 1914. The property, with sweeping views of Lake Winnipesaukee, is a popular tourist attraction.

 Sandwich

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 93.5 square miles (242 km2), of which 90.6 sq mi (235 km2) is land and 2.9 sq mi (7.5 km2) is water, comprising 3.08% of the town. Sandwich is drained to the east by the Bearcamp and Cold rivers, to the northwest by the Beebe River, to the southwest by Squam Lake, and to the south by the Red Hill River. Mount Israel, elevation 2,630 feet (802 m) above sea level, is at the center. Part of the Squam Mountains is in the west. Part of the Sandwich Range is in the north, including the 3,993-foot (1,217 m) Sandwich Mountain (also known as Sandwich Dome), the highest point in town, sited from Wikipedia
